Pixar shocked fans a few months ago with a dramatic and cryptic trailer for Cars 3.

Lightning McQueen is in for a huge shock.

While few specific details have been released about the film, we do know one basic premise: a new generation of millennial cars is coming in to give McQueen a run for his money.

Who are these new characters, and how will they impact the story? Here’s a first look at the film’s antagonist and a possibly ally for our legendary friend.

Jackson Storm

Pixar description: “Jackson was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Everything comes easy to him, and everything about him says he’s faster, so much so that we’ve designed him so that even when he’s standing next to McQueen, McQueen looks old.”

Cruz Ramirez

Pixar description: “Whereas others like Jackson would look at McQueen and dump him, Cruz isn’t like that at all. She’s the most optimistic person in the world and wants to do anything to help.”
